詞匯精講：

1.charitable

Exp. A charitable organization or activity helps and supports people who are ill, disabled, or very poor 慈善事業的

Eg. She made many charitable benefactions.

2.institution

Exp. (building of an) organization for helping people with special needs, eg an orphanage, a home for old people 慈善機關, 社會福利機構（如孤兒院﹑ 養老院）

Eg. An orphanage is a public institution for the care and protection of children without parents.

3.thorough

Exp. doing things completely and with great attention to detail 做事徹底的﹑全面的﹑細致的或深入的

Eg. He's a slow worker but very thorough.

8.attitude

9.mortify

Exp. to make sb feel very ashamed or embarrassed 使（某人）深感羞辱或難堪
