二、Listen and Learn 內(nèi)容透析
1. 句型：There is nothing sb. like more than+n. 沒有什么比…更讓某人喜歡了，也就是說“某人最喜歡…”。句中的動(dòng)詞like可以改成其他詞，意思也跟著改變。比如：There is nothing more important than understanding your business. 沒有比真正理解你的生意更重要的事了。這樣的表達(dá)比直接陳述”I like … most”是不是更高級(jí)呢？
2. 2-for-1 special: 買一送一的特價(jià)商品。當(dāng)然您也可以直接說"buy one get one"。Sometimes ads also cheat consumers. For example, buy one get one free, when you buy a pair of pants, you just get a belt free. 有時(shí)候廣告也在欺騙消費(fèi)者啊，比如買一送一，買條褲子，買一送一可能送的就是腰帶。
3. Interrupt: v. 中斷，打斷，插嘴。Eleanor說"It is impolite to interrupt."確實(shí)如此，打擾別人的時(shí)候，不妨先禮貌地說一句"I hate to interrupt you, but…"。
4. Carry my line: line在這里指的是"line of product"，引申為“接管”。Is the distributor required to carry the full line of products? 分銷商是否被要求開展整條產(chǎn)品線？另有短語carry on the family line表示“傳宗接代”，比如：I was only one that could carry on the family line. 我是家里惟一的傳宗接代的人。
5. Put together: 放在一起，整合，裝備。Look book多用于服裝行業(yè)，表示“樣式手冊(cè)，設(shè)計(jì)冊(cè)”等等。
6. Tuck into: 大吃。比如：The dinner smelled so good that I couldn't wait to tuck into it.
晚餐聞起來太美味了，我等不及要大吃一頓了。
7. Low-fat: 低脂肪的。給大家介紹一部分低脂肪食物：玉米（corn）、燕麥（oats）、枸杞（medlar）、海參（trepang/ sea cucumber）等等。Appealing指的是“吸引人的，引起興趣的”。
