【詞語用法】
so far as ... is/are concerned，as far as ... is/are concerned，so far as concerns和as concerns都是“就...而言”的意思。注意后兩種表達中concerns用復數不用單數；concern to后加不同動詞有不同目的。
He was concerned to hear of her ill health.
to hear表示原因
He was concerned to improve her health.
to improve表示目的
concern后加不同介詞時，表示不同意思。
He was concerned about the matter.
他為了這件事關心或擔心。
He was concerned in the matter.
他參與了這件事。
He was concerned with the matter.
他跟這件事有關。
be concerned with常與concern意思相同，concerned with常與concerning意思相同。下面兩句子意思一樣：
The story is concerned with a national hero.
The story concerns a national hero.
這個故事牽涉到一個民族英雄。
concerned等于that is concerned或who are concerned，如everybody concerned (每個有關的人)，all concerned (有關各方) 和the department concerned (有關部門）。注意that is不可寫出；your concern for me意為“你對于我的關懷”，your concern over me 意為“你對于我的擔心”；
To whom it may concern或To Whom It May Concern用在不指明收信者是誰的信里，當作稱呼語。這種信通常沒有Yours，turely等信尾客套語。
【詞義辨析】
1.affair, business, matter, concern, thing,
affair: 含義較廣，側重指已發生或必須去做的任何事情或事務。復數形式多指重大或較復雜的事務。
business: 通常指較重要或較難而又必須承擔的事情，也可指商事。
matter: 普通用詞，著重指一件考慮中的或需要處理的事。
concern: 往往強調與個人或團體利害有直接或重大關系的事。
thing: 用作“事情”解時，詞義較籠統、含糊，多用于指不很具體的事。
2.anxiety, worry, care, concern,
anxiety: 指對預料中的不祥之事的焦慮。
worry: 側重對未知事態演變的憂慮。
care: 強調因出于責任感或顧慮等而產生的不安。
concern: 作“關心”用時，是indifference(冷漠)的反義詞，側重對他人健康安全等的關心，也可暗示對困難、危險或失敗等的憂慮。
