二、Listen and Learn 內(nèi)容透析
1.thank-you: 名詞，表示“感謝”。常見的詞組有a thank-you letter/thank-you note感謝信。比如：I wrote her a thank-you note to show my appreciation of their hospitality.我給她寫了封感謝信，感謝他們的殷勤好客。
2.She has a closet the size of this apartment just full of them.她的衣櫥跟我們家一樣大, 里面塞滿了這種衣服。closet: 壁櫥。apartment: 一套公寓房間。be full of: 充滿。
3.talented: 有才能的(多才的)。talent:才華，才能，天才，天資。a talented person有才華的人。這個單詞的近義詞是：gifted有天賦的，有才華的。“才子佳人”叫做wits and beauties/ gifted scholars and beautiful ladies。另外，詞語bel-esprit也表示“才子，有才智的人”。
4.You used to be cool, and, the 90s are having a comeback.你以前是挺酷的，再說 90年代的流行復(fù)蘇了嘛。comeback: 復(fù)蘇，卷土重來。比如：He lost the last election but hopes to make a comeback next time.他上次競選失敗，但是希望下次卷土重來。
5.You have no idea how much that hurts.你不知道這么說傷我多深。“不知道”除了說don't know以外，還可以說have no idea, be blank。另外，在口語中dunno是"don't know"的另外一種表達。
