二、Listen and Learn 內容透析
1. be headed to/head to：走向。He's headed to college this fall.他今年秋季將邁進大學。head for：前往，出發。People like to head for the beach to cool off. 人們喜歡到海灘來涼快涼快。have a head for sth：有著...才能。He has a head for math. 他數學很好。
2. execution：n.執行，實行，完成；演奏，表演技巧。比如：His original idea was good, but his execution of the scheme was disastrous. 他的設想很好，但實行起來卻糟糕透頂。The pianist's execution of the concerto was marvellous. 那鋼琴師彈的協奏曲神乎其技。execution在劇中指的是“死刑”。Convicted drug traffickers may face execution. 已經被定罪的毒販子可能會被處以極刑。
3. 伙計：buddy, dude, chum, pardner(partner), guy, folks, gang. buddy-buddy：非常親密的。比如：They're very buddy-buddy.他們非常親密。buddy friend普通朋友。Is she your buddy friend or sweetheart friend? 她是你的普通朋友還是男女朋友？
4. All of a sudden：突然地，出乎意料的。比如：A question came to me all of a sudden.我突然想起了一個問題。
5. Man, that’s a dark thought.兄弟，這么想就消沉了。
6. Aren't we entitled to choose, just to be happy? 難道我們不能選擇開心的生活嗎？entitle to：給以權利；使有資格。This ticket can entitle you to have a free meal in this hotel.這張票可以讓你在這個旅館免費地吃一頓飯。be entitled to/be entitled to do something：有權享有，有(做某事)的權利(或資格)。He is entitled to high praise.他有資格得到高度贊揚。
7. What we're entitled to is a trust fund, maybe a house in the Hamptons, a prescription drug problem. 我們有權得到的只有信托資金。一幢漢普頓的房子, 以及由處方藥引來的麻煩。trust fund：信托基金。prescription drug：處方藥。give sb. a prescription/make a prescription：開處方。
8. Happiness does not seem to be on the menu. 幸福似乎不是我們要考慮的東西。on the menu：在菜單上，在選項內。
9. Kiss ass：拍馬屁，巴結某人。kick ass：了不起的。比如：That's two kick ass women.那是兩個了不起的女人。asshole：一個不雅的用語，表示對某人的厭惡，詞語形容的對象通常是非常刻薄的，自私的，或是粗魯無禮的。
