1. Spotted on the steps of the met.An s. And b. Power struggle.在大都會美術館的階梯上.S與B針鋒相對。spot v.認出，發現；n.地點，場所；adj.現場的。power strugle 權力斗爭，權利爭奪。比如：No country is spared from power struggle which is part and parcel of politics.有政治就必然有權力斗爭，任何國家都概莫能外。Married couples should avoid getting into power struggle in this month.夫婦們要避免在這個月吵架。
2. Did s. Think she could waltz home,and things would be just like they were?S會認為她可以凱旋而歸，一切都和以前一樣嗎?waltz n.華爾茲舞曲。Young people like to dance a waltz.年輕人喜歡跳華爾茲舞。這個單詞還可以作動詞表示“跳華爾茲舞”，比如：They waltz to the tempo of the music.他們跟著音樂的節奏跳華爾茲舞。劇中的意思是“輕快地走動”。waltz off with輕而易舉地贏得，不費力氣地得到，比如：She waltzed off with the school prizes for maths and science. 她輕而易舉贏得了全校數學獎和理科獎。

4. Hottie 是一個美國俚語，意思是“非常熱辣、性感、迷人的靚妹”。hottie這個單詞也有用于男子的，意思就是“帥哥”了。但是千萬要注意，這個稱呼有些輕佻和不雅，因此，如果當面稱一個人為“hottie”的話，可能會惹上麻煩。美國總統奧巴馬就有這樣一段軼事，他在水牛城吃小吃的時候，店員Luann Haley當面贊揚他：“You’re a hottie with a smokin’ little body”。這位店員本來是要贊揚奧巴馬長得英俊瀟灑，沒想到卻是弄巧成拙，這個不得體的贊揚，使奧巴馬尷尬萬分。
