1. cure,treat,heal,remedy

這些動詞都有“治療、醫(yī)治”之意。

cure主要指治愈疾病。

When I left the hospital I was completely cured.
出院時，我已經(jīng)完全痊愈了。

treat普通用詞，指接受并診治病人，不一定治愈。

This boy is being treated for a heart condition.
這個男孩正在接受心臟病治療。

heal側重指治愈傷口、傷痛如灼傷等。

The cut is no longer weeping and is starting to heal.
傷口已不流膿，漸漸愈合了。

Time heals most troubles.
時間會消除痛苦。

remedy著重用藥物對病人進行治療。

Aspirin may remedy a headache.
阿斯匹林可治頭痛。

I know a remedy for headaches.
我知道一種治頭疼的藥。

2. damage, injure, harm, hurt, impair和spoil的辨析

damage一詞通常指那種使價值降低、有用性和有效性減少的損害；

A falling tree damaged the roof. 一棵倒下的樹損壞了屋頂。

The scandal seriously damaged the senator's reputation.
那丑聞嚴重害了參議員的名聲。

injure 表示對外貌，健康造成傷害；

She was badly injured in an accident.
她在一次事故中被重傷。

harm與 hurt主要指那些帶來痛苦、悲傷、損失或損害的；

Gypsy moths harm foliage.
蛾對葉子有害。

My feelings are hurt.
我的感情受到了傷害。

impair一詞指的是減低，減損；

The patient's intelligence has been impaired by a brain injury.
由于腦傷，病人的智力受損。

spoil是損壞和徹底摧毀價值、優(yōu)點和力量，表示無可挽回的損壞，如spoiled child, indulged child；

Worrying about business spoiled our evening.
