劇情提示：
第二天早晨，亨利如約來到咖啡館，但當他熱情的與露西打招呼時，這個昨天還與他聊得開心的女孩卻仿佛從沒有認識過他，并用強硬的態(tài)度回決了他。
完全被搞糊涂的亨利，第一次嘗到了被女人拒絕的滋味，被失落和迷芒包圍的亨利，從咖啡店老板娘那里得到了事情的真相。
原來車禍的意外讓露西的大腦受到損傷，留下了短暫記憶的后遺癥，她一直停留在車禍前一天的記憶里，而在這天里發(fā)生的事情，她也只能保留二十四小時。爸爸馬林和哥哥為了不傷害露絲，一年多以來一直極力的維持同樣的生活，吃完早餐的露西要畫畫，與家人重復看同一場球賽、每天給爸爸過一次生日，盡管這樣的生活對爸爸和哥哥來說并不開心，但為了露西的快樂，他們都盡力的重復著這樣的生活。
露西的遭遇一時之間令亨利有些束手無策，但并沒有打消他求得美人歸的熱情，面對露西的視而不見，亨利依舊每天按時出現(xiàn)在咖啡館里，想盡各種辦法來接近露西。
一天，亨利以別人的名義送給露西一束百合花，這是露西最愛的花，并給她一個錄像帶，講述了露西發(fā)生事故的經(jīng)過，露西看了錄像帶，非常傷心...
Henry: Okay, she cried for about an hour. That's not too bad. I bet in another hour she'll be ready to see her friends, have lunch...get her life back. We could do this every day.
Lucy's dad: We'll leave it up to her.
Henry: All right.
Lucy: So how's the cow?
Henry: Same as you. Every day they have to convince her she's a cow.
Lucy: Wow, look. The bark is healing.
Henry: You're gonna get there. I never hung out with you in the afternoon like this. In this lighting, man, oh, man, you look...disgusting. Yeah.
Lucy: I don't know how you get me to fall for that egg-shaped head every morning.
Henry: All I have to do is slide on my designer jeans...and just kind of wiggle in front of you. You go nuts.
Lucy: Why couldn't I have met you one day before the accident?
Henry: Don't worry, because if you hung out with me for more than one day...you'd realize I' m a bore.
Lucy: Oh, well, I have news for you.
Henry: Yes?
Lucy: It takes less than one day.
Henry: You know something? That hurt. Your damaged temporal lobe is causing me pain...and I' m gonna get you for that. Now you're dead!
