228.Hiding From the Robber
228.躲避劫匪
This had turned out to be the scariest day of Tonya's life. She wanted to turn tail and run, but if she moved from where she was hiding the robber would see her. As it was, even a little twist and turn might cause some noise he might hear!
這天最后成了冬尼婭生活中最駭人的一天。她想轉身溜掉，可是只要她在藏身地點動一下，劫匪就能看到她。實際上，哪怕是一點兒坐立不安都會發出響聲，可能被劫匪聽到！
Tonya had been hiding for twenty minutes when she decided to turn the tables on the robber. When he turned his back on her she threw a pen against the opposite wall—it seared the robber and he didn't know what to do!
冬尼婭已經躲了20分鐘了，這時她決定扭轉局面，使形勢對劫匪不利。當劫匪背對著她的時候，她往對面墻上扔了一支鋼筆——劫匪嚇了一跳，一下慌了手腳！
First he put the clock back that he had been planning on stealing, turned off the lights and then, to Tonya's surprise, came over and turned on the stereo. Then he turned up the volume and started looking for who had thrown the pen. He was obviously intent on finding that person and hurting him or her!
首先劫匪把鐘放回去——他一直在計劃偷這只鐘，把燈關掉，然后過來打開立體聲收音機，這讓冬尼婭很吃驚。接著他把音量調高了一些，開始找是誰扔的鋼筆。他顯然一心要找到那個人，并給他或她一點兒顏色瞧瞧！
She suddenly wished that she could turn the clock back and not have thrown that pen! That had turned into a very bad move!
她突然希望她能把鐘撥慢，沒有扔那支鋼筆！這個動作結果變成了一步壞棋！
Then, as he came closer, Tonya suddenly turned over to get ready to run. She unfortunately bumped the lamp and, as she twisted around to see the robber about to grab her, it hit him smack on the head.
隨著他越來越靠近，冬尼婭突然翻身準備逃走。不幸的是她碰到了一盞燈，就在她轉身看見劫匪準備抓她的時候，燈正好砸到了他的頭上。
He was knocked unconscious. Tonya stood up, not believing what she saw. Then she turned over the robber to see who it was. She gasped! It was her boyfriend!
劫匪被砸昏了。冬尼婭站起來，不敢相信眼前的事是真的。然后她把劫匪翻過來看看他是誰。結果她倒抽了一口冷氣！原來是她的男朋友！
It would be sad to turn him over to the police. But she did!
把他交給警察會令她很傷心。但她還是沒有心慈手軟！
