226.射箭
Hey, Warren, my one true pal. Let's go try out my new bow and arrow at Old Wilson's farm today! Nick said.
“嗨，沃倫，我的老朋友。我們今天去老威爾遜的農場試一下我新買的弓箭吧！”尼克說。
We can't trespass on his land! He'd try his hand at shooting us if he caught us!
“我們不能侵犯他的土地！如果抓到我們，他會一試身手開槍打死我們的！”
Aw, don't worry about it, Warren replied.. "I already made a phone call that tricked him into going into town for the rest of the day! We can head over there at any time. Trust in me, man. It will be okay!. "
“啊，別擔心，”沃倫回答道。“我已經打電話騙他今天就進城呆著！我們隨時可以過去。相信我吧，朋友。不會有事的！”
Well, I guess I could go for a while. But I have to be back at 5 o'clock to try out for the football team! We've had some trial runs already, but today is the real deal and I can't miss it!
“這樣的話我想我可以去一會兒。不過我得五點鐘回來參加足球隊的選拔活動！我們已經試跑過幾次了，而今天是最關鍵的一天，我不能錯過！”
Sure! Nick replied.
“沒問題！”尼克回答說。
And true to his word, Old Wilson was nowhere to be seen. Then Nick tried on the new arm protection pad and took his first shot of the bow. After a couple trial and error shots he was finally able to shoot the arrow in the right direction.
正如他所說，老威爾遜顯然不見了蹤影。接著尼克試了試新買的護臂墊，射出了第一箭。經過幾次反復試驗之后，他終于能把握好方向了。
Try for the barn! Warren said. Nick missed!. "You have a trend towards aiming too far to the left. Here let me try!. "
“爭取射中那個倉庫！”沃倫說。尼克失手了！“你傾向于瞄得太左。讓我試試！”
Then Warren gave Nick the bow and protection pad. Nick tried it on but then he took it off because it was too small.
接著沃倫把弓和護墊給了尼克。尼克試了試，然后又脫了下來，因為護墊太小了。
You have to wear that, Nick. Otherwise the string might hit your arm!
“你得戴著它，尼克。不然弦會傷著你的手臂！”
But Nick didn't listen. Instead he took aim and fired the bow perfectly.
可是尼克沒有聽。相反他瞄準并射得十分成功。
Boy, it's really a treat to shoot a good bow! Nick said. "Thanks for asking me to come!. "
“天哪，射箭射得好真的好爽哦！”尼克說。“謝謝你叫我來！”
No problem! Warren replied.
“沒問題！”沃倫回答道。
And then the boys enjoyed an afternoon of shooting and fun!
接著兩個小伙子享受了一個下午的射箭并且開心極了！
