No one tread on Guy Spencer. He was the star of the high school track team and predicted to win a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing! He had already broken numerous high school records and now he was moving into collegiate sports where he would be trained and groomed for further greatness! Even there, at a higher level, he was a star! Other runners who were treading on his heels never stood a chance. Guy was just too fast.
He was also too fast on the road. The police knew him well for speeding. He also frequently drove through traffic lights and ignored traffic signs. But they never gave him a traffic ticket, they just warned him repeatedly, told him to keep winning track meets and watch his train of thought so that he would drive carefully. They treated him as someone who walked on air.

Because of this preferential treatment, Guy Spencer was transformed into an absolutely arrogant and selfish man! And he traded on his public image to make a lot of money! Cards with his picture were soon traded in for hundreds of dollars, even as millions wore shoes with his name on it!
And he traveled wherever he wanted. He even had his own personal travel agent who managed his traveler's checks wherever he went! And he would have storms of reporters present even if he were just transferring from one plane to another!
It was all quite ridiculous.
But that's how sports stars are treated!
