77.一了百了
John closed the door to his home, glanced at the exterior faced with stone, smiled a sad smile and then turned to get into his car.
約翰把他家的門關上，看了一眼用石頭砌面的室外，苦笑了笑，然后轉身上了汽車。
He wasn't sure he'd ever see it again! He was fagged out.
他不知道他是否還能見到這所房子！他有些精疲力竭。
He had spent the night awake, thinking about ways to fade away.

But when he factored in all of the difficulties of living a life on the run, he knew that he had to face the music and go eyeball to eyeball with his superiors about his accounting errors.

Slipping on to the express way, John found it hard to extract himself from his thoughts enough to concentrate on driving.

He was right. After his death his superiors stopped the investigation for the sake of John's mourning family.

They never knew that he had cost the company millions with his accounting errors.
