When Sam exchanged words with Sarah about always being gone, she knew that she would have to excuse herself from several of her pastimes.
當薩姆因為薩拉老不在家的事和她爭吵時，薩拉知道她得推掉一些娛樂活動。
Getting out of the Parent Teachers Organization was easy, leaving her exercise class was hard.

The exercise program was fantastic, but much too demanding on her time schedule.

When Sarah couldn't explain away her need to cancel her membership, she decided to lie and say that she was expecting a baby.

Sarah got out of pretty much anything that way, except for night school.

It was the middle of exam period, and she would have to finish that first.

After exams she explained the situation to her instructors.

They were impressed that she was exposing herself to them and allowed her to take a semester off to save her marriage.

They hoped she would return, however, because she had excelled in every subject.

Sam appreciated the effort. Soon their marriage was better!

Their love even evolved into a friendship that they had never shared before.

And Sarah didn't have to explain herself to her peers anymore.

They saw a change. They saw the happiness.

They even began to ask her to export some of her experience to their marriages. She was happy to help.

Sarah avoided becoming too busy again for the rest of her life.

And her husband and children didn't need to thank her. Sarah now always had her priorities straight.
