第二十八課 奇怪的情侶
Shawn had always been in.
肖恩一直運氣很好。
He was popular first because his family was known as the richest family in town.
他出名首先是因為他家以城里的首富聞名。
Second, because he was head and shoulders above the other boys in height.
其次是因為他的身高遠遠超過其他男孩。
And finally , Shawn was popular because he nenver did anything harmful to himself or anyone else.
最后是因為他從來沒有做過傷害自己或別人的事情。
He was off caffeine because he said it was an addiction.
他不沾咖啡因，因為他說那會上癮。
And he was never on a diet.
他從不節食。
Shawn was just an all-round good guy!

Jill, on the other hand, had always been heading for trouble.
吉爾，從另一方面來說總是碰到麻煩。
She was poor, unkempt and in the dark as to who her real parents were.
她又窮又不修邊幅， 就連自己的真實父母是誰她也不知道。
She was also never in harmoney with other kids at school; it seemed like she was always fighting.
在學校里她還從來不能與其他孩子和睦相處，她似乎總是在打架。
That's why it was so strange whn they started dating.

Most kids thought Jull was just dating Shawn because he was made of money.

She was known to have done things for a buck!
大家都知道她為了錢什么都敢做！
Others thought shawn was just dating her out of pity, or that he left obliged to help someone on the down and out.
其他人則認為肖恩是出于同情才與她約會，或者是因為他覺得他得幫助一個窮困潦倒的人。
What Jill was not known for, however, was her deep insights into life.
但是，大家不了解吉爾對生活的深入了解。
Because of her past being made up of so many traumas, she truly had wisdom into what life was all about.

When Shawn discovered this, he was sure he was in luck at having finally found a deep person who was not just concerned about looks, money or pres-tige.

He fell for her hard!

And when Jill truly understood that Shawn was interested in her for whom she was, she felt the same.
