6. 英語形容詞轉譯為漢語副詞

修飾名詞的形容詞，由于名詞轉成動詞，因而相應地轉譯成副詞。

All of this proves that we must have a profound study of properties of metals.

所有這一切證明我們必須深入地研究金屬的特性。

Only when we study their properties can we make better use of the materials.

只有研究這些材料的特性才能更好地利用他們。

有時為了使譯文符合漢語表達習慣，也要把英語形容詞轉譯為漢語副詞。

A helicopter is free to go almost anywhere.

直升飛機幾乎可以自由地飛到任何地方。

The same principles of low internal resistance also apply to milliammeters.

低內阻原理也同樣適用于毫安表。

7．副詞轉換為名詞

He is physically weak but mentally sound.

他身體雖弱，但思維正常。

8．副詞轉化為動詞。

Open the valve to let air in.

打開閥門，讓空氣進入。

In this case the temperature in the furnace is up.

在這種情況下，爐溫就升高。

9. 英語介詞轉譯成漢語動詞

The government is behind this project.

政府支持這個項目。

Public opinion was against the proposal.

輿論都反對這個提議。

10．漢語動詞轉譯成英語介詞

我們全體贊成他的建議。

We are all in favor of his suggestion.

他們不顧一切困難，挫折，堅持戰斗。

They kept on fighting in spite of all difficulties and setbacks.
