【詞義辨析】
pursue, follow, chase, hunt, trace, track, trail
這些動詞均含“跟隨、追蹤”之意。
pursue指堅持不懈、毫不動搖地緊跟、追趕某人、某物或某個事業(yè)。
follow普遍用詞，含義最廣，多指跟隨起引導作用的人或物，跟隨的動機可以是善意的，也可能是惡意的。
chase指快速追趕或決心追蹤，褒義貶義均可用。
hunt原義為“追獵、獵取”，現(xiàn)用于指追捕或搜尋逃犯等。
trace指根據(jù)線索或足跡進行跟蹤。用于抽象意義時指找到某事物的根源。
track指沿著人或動物留下的印跡或行跡追蹤。
trail一般指跟蹤追擊。
【例句用法】
She is pursuing her studies at the university.
她在大學繼續(xù)深造。
The government is pursuing a policy of non-intervention.
政府正奉行不干預政策。
二.point:n.觀點, 看法, 要點, 重點, 特點, 點, 地點, 小數(shù)點, 尖端, 岬角, 海角, 意義, 目標, 分數(shù), (羅盤上的)方位點,(溫度的)點, 插座, (字體)磅值
v.指, 指向, 朝向, 瞄準, 灰泥或水泥勾（某物）的磚縫
【語法用法】
point作為名詞使用時，通常用短語“point of view”來表達一個“觀點”或者“意見”；
當表達“這是...的觀點”時，通常用“from...point of view”，例如from my point of view...(我的觀點是...)；
point在美式英語中也用作“鋼筆尖”或者“學分”，相當于英式英語中的“nib”與“credit”；
當point作為動詞使用時，通常用“piont out”來表達“指出”，后可接雙賓語。
