2018 WC qualifiers: China looks to start with a win
2018世界杯預選賽中國首戰取勝
The Chinese National Football Team has been busy training in Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan, ahead of its 2018 World Cup qualifier, which is set for 8 p.m. Beijing time Tuesday.
The game will be the largest international sporting event ever held in Bhutan and the first football international match between the two nations.
China had been training in Kunming, Yunan province for the last week to adjust to Bhutan's high altitude and artificial turf. As a seeded team, China had a bye in the first round of group matches, in which Bhutan was thrashed 7-0 by Hong Kong.
China is 79th in FIFA rankings, while its group opponents are all out of the top 150.
