At least 4 injured as 5.5M quake hits Guizhou
貴州發生5.5級地震至少4人受傷
A 5.5 magnitude earthquake shook Southwest China on Monday morning.
The quake hit Jianhe County in Guizhou Province. At least four people have been injured, but so far, there are no fatalities.
There are no reports of any major building collapses, although some 3-thousand properties suffered minor damage. At the epicenter, in Nanjia Township, roads were damaged but traffic is moving, with communications and power supplies operating normally.
Some schools in the region have suspended classes. Governments at various levels have sent officials to the quake zone to oversee rescue work.
