1. steady on
講解：它被用于口語中，不用于書面英語。是表示“當(dāng)心，注意，鎮(zhèn)定”的非正式說法。用來表示提醒。 相當(dāng)于“to be careful; control yourself” 。
e.g. ——What if there's another murder? ——Steady on!
——萬一又有人被殺呢？——說話注意點(diǎn)！
e.g. ——One can't live with a man like that!——Steady on, don’t jump into the conclusion.
和那樣的男人沒法過日子！——冷靜點(diǎn)，不要魯莽下結(jié)論。
e.g. Steady on, dear. Don't drop the plates you are holding.

2. cut sb. （a little）slack：寬恕......，放松對(duì)......的要求，不要苛刻對(duì)待......，多關(guān)照.....
詳解：如果你初次參加某活動(dòng)或到某集會(huì)，你可以說“Cut me a little slack please.”
e.g. This is my first time to take part in the ball. Please cut me a little slack.

3. take advantage of：利用，咱便宜
e.g. If you're too trusting, other people will take advantage of you.

e.g. He's joining the club in order to take advantage of the others.

4. come to an end：結(jié)束，告終
e.g. Unfortunately, like all good things, it had to come to an end.

e.g. The meeting has come to an end.

5. go into
詳解：這個(gè)短語其中的一個(gè)意思是指把時(shí)間、精力或錢被用在......方面上。其英文解釋為： If an amount of time, effort, or money goes into something, it is spent or used to do it, get it, or make it.
e.g.Is there a lot of effort and money going into this sort of research?

6. think of...：想到
e.g. The police, or whoever, would not think of looking for him here.
