Twin blasts hit India train
印度火車遭遇兩起爆炸
The central train station in southern India has been cordoned off after two explosions ripped through a train. A twenty-two year old woman was killed and nine injured in the attack in Chennai city. Two carriages exploded as the Bangalore-Guwahati train arrived at the station. There was chaos at the station as people carried the injured from the platform for treatment. This is one of the busiest railway stations in southern India. Thousands of commuters use it every day to travel to neighbouring cities and states. The blasts come as India nears the end of a massive election but it's not been confirmed that the two events are linked.

Protesters urge Nigeria to step up hunt for girls abducted by Islamists

Singing from the same hymn sheet -- Dozens of protesters gather outside Nigeria's parliament calling for security forces to search harder for more than 200 schoolgirls abducted more than two weeks ago. Relatives and civil servants are united in anger at the government's job in tracking down the rebels, who stormed the school in Borno state and grabbed the teenagers.

Family members shed tears as reports come out that the young girls were taken as wives by suspected Boko Haram gunmen. The scale and brutality of the school attack have shocked the nation...a country that's used to hearing about atrocities in its five year old Islamist insurgency. The abduction has also become a symbol of the military's impotence in protecting civilians against the insurgents. And protesters here are determined the plight of the abducted girls is not ignored.

Derailed train bursts into flames in Lynchburg, Virginia
佛吉尼亞運油火車脫軌起火
A U.S. freight train carrying crude oil derailed and burst into flames close to the city centre of Lynchburg in Virginia state. Three tanker cars carrying oil fell down an embankment and more than a dozen tanker cars were involved in the collision. Hundreds of people have been evacuated from buildings in the city, but no injuries have been reported. Oil has been spilling into the James river, which flows into Chesapeake Bay.
美國一輛油罐火車在佛吉尼亞州林奇堡附近脫軌起火。三節(jié)裝有原油的車廂跌落河堤，超過12節(jié)車廂墜落。這座城市數(shù)百人從建筑中撤離，但是沒有傷亡報告。原油泄漏入詹姆士河，匯入切薩皮克灣。
(SOUNDBITE) (English) LYNCHBURG RESIDENT, SAYING: "We've heard this noise, we looked out of the window where we were at Shoemakers restaurant and [SPEAKING OVER SHOT OF CRASH SITE] we saw a giant fire ball, the trains were burning and we had to evacuate the building."
林奇堡居民：“我們聽到了噪音，向鞋匠旅店窗外看去，看到一個巨大的火球，火車著火了，我們趕緊從這棟樓撤離。”
(SOUNDBITE) (English) LYNCHBURG RESIDENT, SAYING: "As the flames grew, I stood and watched it a little bit, I took a couple of pictures, and then realized this is probably a dangerous situation, especially there were so many tank cars, and then I watched as whatever fuel oil it was started down the river on fire."
林奇堡居民：“隨著火勢越來越大，我站著看了一會兒，照了幾張照片，然后才意識到這可能是比較危險的狀況，尤其是有許多油罐車廂的情況下，然后看到原油泄漏，火勢更大。”
This is the sixth derailment to have gone up in flames in North America since last July. This one was near office buildings prompting environmentalists to call for stricter regulations on shipping crude oil by rail.
這是自去年7月份以來北美第六起火車脫軌起火事件。這次事發(fā)地點在辦公樓附近，迫使環(huán)保人員呼吁對鐵路運油車進行更嚴格的監(jiān)管。
