殘疾人騎馬Handicapped Horseback Riding
Aliyah S.- A third illustration of the idea that plans often go wrong can be seen through my experiences as a volunteer worker for a handicapped horseback riding ranch. Last year, we began planning our annual horse show four months in advance. The children had been practicing for weeks. The volunteers had spent hours weeding, painting the barn, planting new flowers, and decorating the arena. However, two days before the show, something completely unexpected happened. The weatherman on TV called for rainshowers-in July! Consequently, the show was delayed for two weeks. Despite a reduced amount of participants due to family vacations that had been previously planned, the show was a relative success, although late.
