Matthew H. The late rapper The Notorious B.I.G,one of the most successful rappers of all time,was no stranger to influence.Born in 1972 in Brooklyn,New York as Christopher Wallace,B.I.G. was caught up in an ever growing drug trade,and was selling crack on the streets at age 17.Eventually,Wallace was sent to jail for 3 years;however,while he was there,Wallace learned to express his emotions through writing.After getting out of prison,B.I.G. started rapping full time and started gaining popularity over a large audience.This way of going against a customary way of life and finding something he could truly excel at lead Biggie Smalls to become one of the most renowned and popular rappers of all time.However,this popularity did not come without misfortune;Biggie was involved in the wost rivalries in the music business.Tragically,this fame ultimately caused him to pay the final price when he was murdered outside of an LA club when he was only 23 years old.In the words of The Notorious B.I.G himself,"You’re nobody ’til somebody kills you."
