with 或 without 表達隱含條件的用法
with 或 without 在句中作狀語，可以表示真實的條件，也可以表示虛擬的條件，理解為“如果...”或“若是沒有...”。例如：Without his help, I don't know how to get started. 沒有他的幫助，我無從下手（真實的條件）。Without your help, we couldn't have completed the task ahead of time. = if it had not been for our help...若是沒有你的幫助，我們不可能提前完成任務（非真實條件）。
