Smog eases in Beijing, concerns remain 霧霾下的北京 擔(dān)憂(yōu)猶存
In Beijing, the Environmental Monitoring Center says a strong cold front is expected to clear the remaining smog hanging over the city. The cold front has brought light snowfall, reducing the concentration of fine particulate matter in the air to between 50 and 70 micrograms per cubic meter. Air quality is expected to improve as wind disperses the smog.
北京環(huán)境監(jiān)測(cè)中心表示，一股強(qiáng)寒流將清除籠罩著北京市的殘余煙霧。寒流帶來(lái)的少量降雪降低了空氣中細(xì)微顆粒的濃度至50到70微克每立方米。隨著氣流將煙霧吹散，空氣質(zhì)量有望得到提高。

降雪過(guò)后空氣變得新鮮。一股強(qiáng)冷鋒正在驅(qū)散籠罩著首都一周之久并降低空氣污染水平的煙霧。
Sun Feng, senior engineer of Beijing Environment Monitoring Center, said, "The PM 2.5 density has seen a sharp fall since Tuesday morning. On Tuesday, the concentration of fine particulate matter in the air was about 70 micrograms per cubic meter, which is considered a good level of air quality."
北京環(huán)境監(jiān)測(cè)中心高級(jí)工程師說(shuō)：“自上周二上午PM達(dá) 2.5以來(lái)，已經(jīng)有了大幅下跌。本周二，空氣中細(xì)顆粒物的濃度大約是每立方米70微克，這是良好的空氣質(zhì)量水平。”
Lingering clouds of smog remain in Beijing, affecting traffic and causing an increase in hospital visits, due to respiratory ailments.Doctors at the Beijing Chaoyang Hospital and Beijing Children’s Hospital say the number of patients with respiratory problems had jumped sharply over the past few days.
北京仍處在煙霧籠罩中，交通受到影響，因呼吸道疾病醫(yī)院量增加。北京朝陽(yáng)醫(yī)院，北京兒童醫(yī)院的醫(yī)生表示，在過(guò)去幾天，患呼吸道疾病的患者已經(jīng)急劇上升。
The Municipal Meteorological Bureau issued a high alert after the Air Quality Index in most parts of the capital reached the maximum level of hazardous pollution on the Index.Residents have been advised to stay indoors and avoid strenuous exercise.
在首都大部分地區(qū)空氣危險(xiǎn)指數(shù)達(dá)到最大限度后，北京氣象局發(fā)布高度警備，并建議居民呆在室內(nèi)避免劇烈運(yùn)動(dòng)。
Government authorities have launched traffic control measures and suspended construction at 28 construction sites and 54 businesses to reduced emissions. Experts are advising municipalities, provinces and autonomous regions in north China to work together to combat pollution.
