Fishing in the Fog
霧里捕魚(yú)
It was a foggy right to be fishing on the coast.
這是一個(gè)有霧的夜晚，可以在岸邊捕魚(yú)。
The tide had fluctuated twice in the last eight hours.
潮水在過(guò)去的八個(gè)小時(shí)內(nèi)已有兩次漲落了。
Terry could hear a flock of birds flying in the distance.

The flora around the beach was thick and thorny.

The moon was as bright as a fluorescent light.
月亮發(fā)出熒光燈似的寒光來(lái)，
It made the clouds look fluffy.
使得云彩看上去毛絨絨的。
The waves created white foam on the surface of the water.
海面上海浪激起白色的泡沫。
He could see a turtle floating nearby.
特里能看見(jiàn)那邊有只海龜漂來(lái)浮去。
Terry was hoping to catch a flounder.
特里希望能捕到一條比目魚(yú)，
He was told that they flourished in the area.
他聽(tīng)說(shuō)這里盛產(chǎn)比目魚(yú)。
Suddenly, Terry heard the sound of footsteps approaching.
突然，特里聽(tīng)到腳步聲，而且越來(lái)越近。
His eyes grew wide with apprehension.
他驚恐地瞪大眼睛。
Terry remembered how his football coach would tell him,
特里記得他的足球教練曾這樣告訴他：
“Sometimes, the best defense is a good offense.”
有時(shí)，最好的防守就是主動(dòng)出擊。
So in a rather rude tone, Terry exclaimed, “Who is it, friend or foe?”
于是，他用相當(dāng)野蠻的語(yǔ)調(diào)，大聲喊道：“誰(shuí)？朋友還是敵人？”
“That was spoken with a rather flip attitude,” Matt replied.
“講起話來(lái)如此無(wú)禮！”馬特回答，
“You know it's me. You shouldn't flout our friendship.”
“明知道是我，你不該無(wú)視我們的交情。”
“Sorry,” said Terry.
“對(duì)不起，”特里說(shuō)，
“All this fog has flustered me. Even my glassed are fogged. Every time I heard the water flush through the rocks, I get nervous and confused.”
“周圍的大霧使我感到困惑，甚至眼睛也變得模糊不清了。每當(dāng)我聽(tīng)到海水沖上巖石，我就緊張慌亂。”
“You're too fluent to ever be flustered,” Matt said.
“你說(shuō)話那么流利，是決不曾慌亂的。”馬特說(shuō)。
“Anyway, the tide is in a state of flux.

That is why the ocean is so rough. Perhaps what you need is a brighter light.
所以洋面上會(huì)如此波濤洶涌。也許你需要一個(gè)更亮一點(diǎn)的燈，
Do you have another flashlight?”
你還有一把手電筒嗎？”
“Yes, but I'm out of flashlight batteries,” Terry replied. “What should I do?”
“有，但電池都用完了。”特里回答，“我該怎么辦？”
“Well, we can start a fire,” Matt said.
“那樣的話，我們可以燃起一把火。”馬特說(shuō)，
“But there's one problem. We need a piece of flint.”
“但有一個(gè)問(wèn)題，我們需要一塊打火石。”
