第3課： 三行詩
Here is a very old poem.
這里有一首很古老的詩歌。
Do you like it?
你喜歡嗎？
From all directions Winds bring petals of cherry Into the grebe lake.

This is a Haiku.Haiku is an old form of Japanese poetry.
這是一首俳句。俳句是日本的一種古老的詩歌形式。
Usually Haikus are about nature.
通常俳句是描寫大自然的，
Often they are about a particular season.
寫一個特別的季節。
They do not tell a story,as some poems do.
它們不像有些詩歌一樣講故事，
A Haiku is just a description of a scene.
一首俳句僅僅描繪一個場景。
The Japanese poet said,
日本詩人說：
"Haiku is simply what is happening in this place,at this moment."
“俳句只是描述此時此地發生了什么。”
Haiku follows a pattern.
俳句遵循一種模式。
It always has three lines.
它一般有三行。
Each line has a set number of syllables.
每一行有一組音節。
What's a syllable?
什么是音節？
A syllable is a part of a word that you pronounce without interruption.
一個音節就是一個詞發音時沒有間斷的那一部分，
has one syllable.
有一個音節。
The word "middle" has two syllables: mid-dle.“middle”
這個詞有mid和dle兩個音節。
The word "syllable" has three syllables: syl-la-ble.
“syllable”有syl，la，ble三個音節。
The first line of a Haiku has five syllables.
第一行俳句有五個音節。
The middle line has seven syllables.
中間的一行有七個音節。
The last line has five syllables again.
最后一行又有五個音節。
Let's look at the 5-7-5 pattern of Haiku.
讓我們看一下俳句的5-7-5模式吧！
Here it is with the syllables clearly shown.
這個俳句就有著明顯的音節區分。

Here is another example of Haiku:

Old,dark sleepy pool

As a class,think of words that describe things:

weight,age,size,temperature,feelings and colour.

Make lists of these words on the blackboard.

In small groups,choose one of the poems below.

Next,ask your groupmates for words to fill in the blanks.

Some lines are easy!

You can only use one type of word.

In some blanks,you can use one type of word or another type of word.

Some lines have two blanks.

On a piece of paper,write down a word for each blank.
在紙上給每個空寫出一個詞。
Read the poem to your group.
在組里讀這首詩。
Fill in the blanks with the words on the paper.
