Look at the poem on the right.

Connect.It has five lines.
讓我與世界相連。它有五行。
This kind of poem was created by an American poet in the nineteenth century.
這種詩歌形式是一個美國詩人在十九世紀發(fā)明的。
It is always about a single topic.
它總是關(guān)于一個單一的主題。
Each line has a set number of words.
每一行有一組詞。
The first line has one word.
第一行有一個詞，
The second line has two words.
第二行有兩個詞，
The third,or middle,line has three words.
第三行或者中間的一行，有三個詞。
The fourth line has four words.
第四行有四個詞，
The last line has one word.
最后一行有一個詞。
Let's look at another two poems as examples.
我們來看另外兩首詩。
Cat Smooth fur
貓 光滑的皮毛
Sleeping,waking,stretching
睡著，醒著，伸展著
You are like water
你像水一樣
Liquid ,Happiness.
液態(tài)的,幸福。
Light,bright,
清淡的，明亮的，
Smiling quickly,laughing.
很快地一笑，哈哈大笑。

你是什么顏色的？陽光的！
Line 1: Name the topic of your poem in one word.
第一行:給你的詩歌用一個詞命名。
Use a noun.
用一個名詞。
Line 2: Describe your topic in two words.
第二行：用兩個詞描述一下你的主題。
Use a noun and an adjective,
用一個名詞和一個形容詞，
or two adjectives.
或者兩個形容詞。
Line 3: Choose three words that tell what your topic can do.
第三行：選三個可以描述主題的詞，
Use verbs.
用動詞。
Line 4: Express a thought or a feeling about your topic in four words.
第四行：用四個詞表達一種關(guān)于你對此主題的想法或者感覺。
You can use any kind of words here.
在這里，你可以用任何詞。
Line 5: Say something about your topic using one word.
第五行：用一個詞說一說你的主題。
