When we think about writing poems or understanding poetry,
當(dāng)想到寫詩或理解詩時(shí),
we often think that it's hard to do.
我們常常認(rèn)為這很難。
But nothing could be further from the truth.
但事實(shí)并非如此。
If you think about it,
如果你考慮這件事的話,
you have been listening to poems for most of your life.
你生活的大部分時(shí)間一定都在聽詩。
Are you a fun of the latest pop group?
你是最新的流行樂團(tuán)的歌迷嗎?
Do you like to listen to music?
你喜歡聽音樂嗎?
Did your mother ever sing a song to you as she tried to get you to sleep?

You see,songs are just poems set to music.
你發(fā)現(xiàn)了嗎,歌曲就是配上音樂的詩。
They have both the wonderful words of poetry

and the sweet sound of music to go along with them.

Writing poems is not really all that hard.

Through writing poems,you learn how to use a language well.

You have to use your imagination.

You have to choose the best word to describe exactly what you feel or what you see.
你得選擇最好的詞來準(zhǔn)確地描述出你的所感、所見。
You might be trying to describe a beautiful sunset.
你可能嘗試描述一次美麗的日落。
You think that the words "melting in the distance" or
你認(rèn)為“在遠(yuǎn)處慢慢消失”或
"dropping quietly against the sea" would be a good way to describe it.
“對(duì)著海平面靜靜落下”是一種描述日落的很好的方式。
You have to decide if either the first phrase or the second phrase would be the better.

C.Play "Story Game"!Work in a group.
Each group member takes a turn making a sentence.
Add the sentences to a story one by one.
The story can be about anything.
Appoint one student before you begin.
This student writes down the story as others tell it.
At the end of the game,the appointed student reads the whole story.
Does the story sound sad,happy,strange or funny?
Could you rewrite it into a poem?
Play with it and have a good time!
