一.count on:指望；依靠
ex.:I could have taken the insurance money and retired, but I had 550 employees counting on me.

二.be managed to:設法

【詞義辨析】
remain, linger, stay
這些動詞均有“停留，逗留”之意。
remain指某人或某物仍留在原處或保持原來的狀態。
linger著重因愉快的事而使人不愿離開。
stay普通用詞，多指人在某地暫時逗留。有時可指較長時間的居留。
【例句用法】
I don't think he's sufficiently dedicated to stay the course.
