The Great Wall of China was built by the Han Chinese
長城始建于中國漢代
to keep out the nomadic tribes from the north
為了抵御來自北方的游牧民族而建
They called these people barbarians

and their lands were considered barren

The further we travel, the more extreme it becomes

with hardships and challenges of life beyond the Wall
