Gwen: How is your first semester in Trinity College Dublin?
Tommy: Well, the university is great. Afterall, it's a university that rivals Oxford and Cambridge. And Ireland is a beautiful country with its mountains and castles. I'm only having some difficulties settling in.
Gwen: What's the problem?
Tommy: The weather sucks! It rains so much. The whole place is often wet.
Gwen: I guess that can't be helped. What about the food and the people?
Tommy: Remember Ireland had a famine when potato crop failed in the 19th century? That's because they eat potatoes everyday! Mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, potato chips...
Gwen: Is it that bad?
Tommy: It's worse that Irish people speak English with a strong accent. Sometimes I even wonder if they are speaking English!
