Fred: Good morning, professor.

Professor: Good morning. Is there anything that I can help?

Fred: I am planning to apply to graduate schools in Britain, but I can't make up my mind which university I should choose.
弗雷德：我正在計(jì)劃申請(qǐng)英國(guó)的研究生，但是不太確定要選哪所大學(xué)。
Professor: Well, that depends on what subject, and what kind of program you find suitable for you.
教授：這要看你想學(xué)什么專業(yè)，參加什么項(xiàng)目了。
Fred: Actually I am considering the Business School of University of Edinburg.
弗雷德：其實(shí)我正在考慮愛(ài)丁堡大學(xué)商學(xué)院。
Professor: That's an old university with a great reputation. Have you looked up their requirement of credentials?
教授：愛(ài)丁堡大學(xué)歷史悠久并且名聲卓著，你查過(guò)該校的資格要求嗎？
Fred: Yes, and I think I could meet their standard after I got my TOEFL result. I am working on my application essay.
弗雷德：查過(guò)了，我覺(jué)得只要我拿到托福成績(jī)就能達(dá)到他們的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)了?，F(xiàn)在我正在寫我的申請(qǐng)論文。
Professor: You've already taken the exam TOEFL?

Fred: Yes. I was also wondering if you could write a recommendation letter for me.
弗雷德：考過(guò)了。而且我也想問(wèn)您能不能幫我寫推薦信。
Professor: Certainly. When do you need it?
教授：當(dāng)然可以。什么時(shí)候需要？
Fred: Could you send it to me at the end of this month?
弗雷德：您能這月末發(fā)給我嗎？
Professor: No problem.

Fred: Thank you so much.
