Jennifer: Shall we stay indoors or go out tonight?
詹妮弗：今晚我們要出去還是待在室內？
Gary: Of course we should go out. It's carnival season. There will be displays on water to knock your socks off.
加里：當然要出去啦，現在可是狂歡節期間。會有讓你大開眼界的水上表演。
Jennifer: it's my first time to come to see Venice Carnival. Do people all dress up in costumes?
詹妮弗：我還是第一次來看威尼斯狂歡節。人們都會裝扮起來嗎？
Gary: And masks. You can easily buy a mask on the street. Or you can just have your faces painted.
加里：還要戴面具。面具在街上就能買到，或者你也可以在臉上涂上色彩。
Jennifer: I have no idea. I'll just buy one. Where shall we go?
詹妮弗：我完全不知道該怎樣裝扮，還是直接買一個面具吧。我們要去哪里？
Gary: You can see a lot of interesting things by just walking around. We can also eat at the food stalls, and then go to Piazza San Marco. Or would you like to go to a masquerade ball?
加里：單是四處走走也能看到很多好玩的東西。而且我們還能在小吃攤上吃東西，然后去圣馬可廣場。還是你想去參加化妝舞會？
Jennifer: I think I'll have a stroll first. Will there be fireworks at Piazza San Marco?

Gary: Yes, but you'll have to wait until the last day to see the most spectacular fireworks.
加里：會，但要等到最后一天才能看到最漂亮的煙火。
