Zhao: Would you like to come to my home and celebrate the Mid-autumn Day with my family tomorrow?
趙：明天你愿意來我家和我的家人一起慶祝中秋節(jié)嗎？
Sue: Mid-autumn Day? I thought it's going to be the National Day.
蘇：中秋節(jié)？我還以為要過的是國慶節(jié)。
Zhao: You thought right, but this year both holidays happen to fall into the same week, quite a happy coincidence.
趙：沒錯，今年這兩個節(jié)日趕到同一周了，真是碰巧。
Sue: Why is that?
蘇：為什么？
Zhao: Because the Chinese National Day is October 1st of the solar calendar, while Mid-autumn Day is August 15th of the lunar calendar, which is the official calendar in China until modern time.
趙：因為國慶節(jié)是陽歷10月1號，而中秋節(jié)是陰歷八月十五，中國的官方歷法在現(xiàn)代之前都是陰歷。
Sue: So do you dress up for this day?
蘇：這個節(jié)日需要穿著打扮一番嗎？
Zhao: There is no need to. It's a time to observe the beautiful round moon and enjoy moon cakes.
趙：不必。只要欣賞滿月并享用月餅就夠了。
