Worry擔(dān)憂
Rose: Has Alan shown up yet?
羅絲:艾倫露面了嗎?
Jack: No, not yet. I guess something came up. He'll call soon enough to let us know what's going on. He's good that way.
杰克:沒有.還沒露面。我猜肯定發(fā)生什么事了。他應(yīng)該會打電話告訴我們的。要是那樣就好了。
Rose: I wonder what it could be.
羅絲:我在想會是什么事。
Jack: I don't know. I hope it's nothing serious.
杰克:我也不知道。希望不是什么嚴(yán)重的事情。
Rose: Last week his sister was admitted to the hospital.
羅絲:上星期他姐姐住院了。
Jack: What happened?
杰克:怎么回事啊?
Rose: She was in a serious car accident. She was hurt pretty badly. They thought she was going to die.
羅絲:他姐姐出了車禍,傷得很嚴(yán)重。他們都覺得她快不行了。
Jack: How is she now?
杰克:那她現(xiàn)在怎么樣?
Rose: She fell into a coma... The doctors aren't too hopeful. But I hope they're wrong.
羅絲:她已經(jīng)昏迷了。醫(yī)生覺得沒有太大希望了。不過我希望他們的判斷是錯(cuò)的。
Jack: Poor Alan. He's going nuts. His sister is all he has left; his parents died last year.
杰克:可憐的艾倫。他都快要發(fā)瘋了。他姐姐可是他惟一的親人了,他父母去年剛?cè)ナ馈?br />Rose: Yes, he has been through a lot in the last year. I hope his luck changes soon. Maybe his sister will pull through.
羅絲:是啊,他去年經(jīng)歷得太多了。我希望他能時(shí)來運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)。也許他姐姐能挺過來呢。
