Every year on May 17, people around the world join the ITU family to celebrate World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.
每年的5月17日，世界各地的人們都與國際電聯(lián)的成員一道舉辦慶祝世界電信和信息社會(huì)日的活動(dòng)。
This year, I call on all of you to join me in advancing ITU’s Connect 2030 Agenda, a shared global vision to bridge the digital divide and use the power of information and communication technology in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
今年，我呼吁所有人同我一道推進(jìn)國際電聯(lián)的“連通目標(biāo)2030議程"，這一全球的共同愿景旨在彌合數(shù)字鴻溝和利用信息通信技術(shù)的力量，支持《2030年可持續(xù)發(fā)展議程》的實(shí)現(xiàn)。
I invite you to show the world what new technologies like 5G and Intelligent Transport, the Internet of Things, AI and blockchain can do to improve people’s lives and facilitate social and economic development.
我請各位向全世界展示，5G和智能交通、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)、人工智能和區(qū)塊鏈等新技術(shù)能夠以怎樣的方式改善人們的生活并促進(jìn)社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展。
These technologies and new innovations hold great potential for human progress; they are a powerful tool to achieve each and every one of the Sustainable Development Goals.
這些技術(shù)與最新創(chuàng)新具有推動(dòng)人類進(jìn)步的巨大潛力，是實(shí)現(xiàn)每一項(xiàng)可持續(xù)發(fā)展目標(biāo)的利器。
Almost half the world’s population is still not using the Internet, and overall growth in ICT connectivity is slowing. Time is pressing.
世界上尚有近一半的人沒有用上互聯(lián)網(wǎng)，而且信通技術(shù)連接的總體增長速度正在趨緩。時(shí)不我待。
We need to coordinate and redouble our efforts to connect everyone to the global digital economy, and that for those connected, more must be done to ensure that connected life is safe and trustworthy.
我們需要協(xié)調(diào)行動(dòng)并加倍努力，讓人人都能與全球數(shù)字經(jīng)濟(jì)相連，而且還必須孜孜以求，確保已經(jīng)連網(wǎng)的人們可以享受到安全可信的網(wǎng)絡(luò)生活。
On World Telecommunication and Information Society Day and for this new decade, let’s harness information and communication technology to accelerate social, economic and environmentally sustainable growth and inclusive development for everyone, everywhere.
值此世界電信和信息社會(huì)日之際，以及新的十年之初，讓我們充分利用信息通信技術(shù)來加速社會(huì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)和環(huán)境的可持續(xù)增長。
