1.合并

2.詞性轉換
動詞轉化為介詞

I hope that with the personal involvement and guidance of him, the university will become another American center for China studies and China-US friendship activities. （同時，原文中的“研究”和“開展”兩個動詞在譯文中省略不譯。）
動詞轉化為名詞
