大家上午好！
Good Morning!
我首先代表中華人民共和國駐加爾各答總領(lǐng)館對印度工業(yè)聯(lián)合會組織這次“與中國做生意”專題研討會表示贊賞，本次研討會不僅讓大家了解中國最新的發(fā)展狀況，也有利于開拓中印兩國的商業(yè)機會。
On behalf of the Consulate General of China in Kolkata, I would like to express my appreciation to CII for organizing a seminar to share the latest development in China and explore business opportunities between the two great nations.
本次研討會的舉行可謂“天時、地利、人和”。
I believe that this seminar comes at the right time, right place and with the support of people.
“天時”是指中印作為經(jīng)濟快速增長的兩大新興經(jīng)濟體，兩國關(guān)系保持健康、穩(wěn)定發(fā)展，兩國關(guān)系發(fā)展面臨難得機遇。去年底，中國國務(wù)院總理溫家寶成功正式訪問印度。今年四月，印度總理辛格赴中國三亞出席“金磚五國”會議，與中國國家主席胡錦濤進行了富有成果的會談。在經(jīng)貿(mào)領(lǐng)域，兩國達成多項共識，確定了2015年雙邊貿(mào)易額達到100億美元的重要目標，雙方正在為實現(xiàn)這個目標而積極努力。
By saying “at the right time”, I mean China and India are both enjoying fast economic growth and are two big emerging economies in the world. Our relationship is now experiencing stable and healthy development. The development of the relationship between our two counties is facing the unprecedented opportunities. Last year, our Premier Wen Jiabao paid a successful official to India. This April, Indian Prime Minister Singh attended the BRICS Sanya Meeting in China and held a fruitful meeting with Chinese President Hu Jintao. In the trade field, there are lots of consensuses that have been reached. One important target has been set up – the trade volume between China and India shall reach 100 billion US Dollars by 2015. I think both sides are making efforts to achieve that target.
“地利”是指加爾各答以及印度東部地區(qū)與中國有關(guān)省市開展經(jīng)貿(mào)合作有著得天獨厚的地理優(yōu)勢，尤其是云南省昆明市與加爾各答之間開通了中印兩國之間距離最短的直航。今年九月，深圳-加爾各答航線也將開通。因此地理位置是印度東部地區(qū)與中國開展經(jīng)貿(mào)活動的一大優(yōu)勢。
By saying “at the right place”, I mean Kolkata, as well as the east part of India, enjoys location advantage in trade with relevant provinces of China, especially with Yunnan Province, which has the closest distance to Kolkata by direct flight. In this September, we are going to have another direct flight from Shenzhen to Kolkata. We are going to see that the location is a strong point for the trade between China and the east part of India.
“人和”是指中印兩國經(jīng)貿(mào)合作得到了兩國民眾的大力支持，雙方擴大貿(mào)易合作的愿望十分強烈。在印度東部地區(qū)大約有12家大型中國公司在鋼鐵、電力、通訊以及新能源領(lǐng)域開展業(yè)務(wù)，許多印度公司也進入中國市場投資、建廠，在信息技術(shù)服務(wù)方面開拓商機。我相信中印兩國民眾的支持將極大促進雙方經(jīng)貿(mào)合作的深入開展。
By saying “With the support of people”, I mean that the trade and economic cooperation has enjoyed the strong support by the people of the two sides and there is strong enthusiasm for the expansion of the trade between the two sides. There are around 12 large Chinese companies that are now working in the fields of steel plants, power plants and other infrastructures like telecommunications and new energy in the east part of India. Many Indian companies have already entered Chinese market to set up offices and factories, and do business in IT service. I believe the support from the people of the two sides will definitely give great impetus to the trade and economic cooperation between the two sides. That’s why I say this seminar comes at the right time, right place and with the support of the peoples.
