懷孕啦！
Maryanne was fertile and full of felicity tonight she would become pregnant!

She had been fastidious in counting days,

Yes, said the nurse,

But she would have to be careful, the nurse said,

so as to avoid any accidents or drugs that could be fatal to the child.

Even smoking could have far-reaching consequences, she said.

Maryanne nodded and she said she didn't smoke.

When Maryanne screamed from her bedroom the next day,

her husband raced home from the neighbors,

jumping the fence between their yards.

"Fetch the camera!" Maryanne yelled when he entered the room.

He ran quickly,

not knowing what farfetched notion Maryanne had had in her head.
不知道瑪麗安娜頭腦中 有什么奇怪的念頭.
"It just moved!" She said with a smile as he returned,
"胎兒剛才動(dòng)了!"他回 到她身邊時(shí)她微笑著說
relieved that everything was okay.
一切正常, 他松了口氣
"Don't scream like that again please." He urged her.
"請(qǐng)別再那樣尖叫了, " 他向她懇求道,
"The feasibility of losing the baby is still great, I know.
"我知道失去這個(gè)嬰兒 的可能性還很大,
But you don't want to give me a heart attack first, do you?"
但你不想讓我先得心臟 病, 是吧?"
"Oh, I'm sorry.That was my fault.I was just so excited."
"噢, 對(duì)不起, 我錯(cuò)了 我有點(diǎn)兒太激動(dòng)了."
Maryanne said as she hugged her husband. It was all going so perfectly.
瑪麗安娜說著抱緊了丈 夫.一切都很順利.
