Skiing: An unforgettable experience
滑雪——一次難忘的經歷

Last year, my parents took me on a very special holiday.
去年，我的父母給了我一個非常特別的假期。
My dream was to see some real snow, so during the Christmas holiday, we took our passports and flew over the Pacific to Calgary, Canada.
我的夢想是看真正的雪，所以在圣誕期間，我們帶著護照，飛過太平洋，去了加拿大的卡爾加里。
We took a bus to a ski resort in the Canadian Rockies.
我們乘坐巴士前往一個在加拿大落基山脈的滑雪勝地。
As the bus climbed through the mountains, we saw the thick snow on the trees. I was dying to get out and play with it!
隨著巴士在山上爬升，我們看到了樹木上厚厚的積雪，我真想跳出去和它們玩耍！
At last, we reached the resort and quickly jumped out of the bus.
最后，我們到達了度假勝地，我趕緊跳下了巴士。
This was our first experience with snow. We were like little children-we made snowballs, and threw them at one another!
這是我們第一次接觸到雪。我們就像孩子一樣——我們做雪球，并用它來打雪仗！
Then we checked in at the hotel. We could see the ski slope opposite the hotel. We could not wait to get out and ski.
接下來，我們入住了酒店，我們可以看到酒店對面的滑雪坡。我們迫不及待地想出去滑雪。
The next day, we put on our ski suits and gloves, took our skis and went outside onto the snow.
第二天，我們穿上滑雪服并戴好手套，帶上滑雪板，去到外面的雪地上。
Wearing skis for the first time made me feel strange. Suddenly I found myself unable to walk!
第一次穿上滑雪板，讓我覺得很怪異。 突然發現自己不會走路了！
Then we had a skiing lesson with a young couple. Our instructor took us to a gentle slope, and showed us some basic skills.
然后，我們與一對年輕夫婦一起上了一節滑雪課。我們的教練帶我們去了一個平緩一點的雪坡，并向我們展示了一些（滑雪的）基本技巧。
To be honest, that first lesson was not a great success. I kept on falling over, and I had to hold on to a rope to keep my balance.
說實話，這第一課不是特別的成功。我一直在摔倒，我只好抓住繩子以使身體保持平衡。
However, the next day, I only fell over a few times, and I managed to do a few rapid runs.
然而，第二天，我只被絆倒了幾次，并且我還努力完成了一些快速的滑行。
I felt pleased with myself, and my instructor told me I was doing much better.
我為自己感到高興，而且我的教練告訴我說，我滑的非常好。
Although it was very cold, I spent most of my holiday skiing. I had a wonderful time.
盡管這里非常的冷，我還是將我的大部分假期都花在了滑雪上。我度過了一段美好的時光。
It was all over too soon. It was a shame, but we had to leave.
一切都結束得太早，這令人婉惜，但我們不得不離開。
I wish my parents would take me back for another wonderful skiing holiday next year.
我希望我父母明年會帶我再次回來，再來一個滑雪假期。
