The Old House
老房子
There was a very old house in a street.
在街上有一套已經(jīng)有些年代的老房子。
A boy liked this house very much.
一個(gè)小男孩很喜歡這套房子。
An old man was living in that house.
有個(gè)老人住在這所房子里。
The old man always looked out of the window.
老人總是朝窗外望去。
That's why they made a friendship with each other.
這就是為什么他們成了好朋友。
The next Sunday morning, the boy visited the old house,

and he talked to the old man."I have two toy soldiers, and this is one of them.

I will give you one, because you look so lonely.

"Little friend, thank you for giving me such a nice gift and visiting me."

The old man welcomed the boy and said.

The old man and the boy were so happy together.
老人和男孩在一起玩的很開心。
But the toy soldier started to complain.

"I can't stand this house any more.
"我再也忍受不了這老房子了。
I am too lonely and bored in this house."

"Don't be sad. Instead, this house is beautiful, isn't it?"

"I am sick and tired everyday in here."
"我每天又累又難受，"
" You have to stay here because you were the gift for my friend. Don't you understand that?"

"I will go to a battlefield." The toy soldier yelled.

The toy soldier fell to the ground, but nobody could find him.

"I will find where he is." But he couldn't find the toy soldier.
"我會找到他在哪里的，"但他哪都找不到玩具士兵。
It was too far away to be found.
要找到玩具士兵太難了。
After dark the boy went back to his house.
天黑后，男孩回到自己家里去了。
When the winter came, the old man died.
冬天來了，老人不幸去世了。
A few days later after the old man's death, the old house was cleared away and a new house was built in that place.
老人死后幾天舊房子被拆除了，一個(gè)新的房子重新建立起來。
After many years, the little boy grew into a young man, and he married.
許多年后，小男孩長大成人，他也結(jié)婚了。
He moved to the old man's house with a beautiful garden.
之后，他搬到了老人帶有美麗花園的房子里。
"Ouch! What is this?" His wife shouted out in pain.
"哎喲！這是什么？"他的妻子在痛苦地大叫。
There was something sharp on the ground. Can you guess what it was?
"地面上有尖東西。你知道它是什么嗎？"
It was the toy soldier that he and the old man had been searching for.
那就是他和那個(gè)老人一直在尋找的玩具士兵。
"Let me see."The boy, now a grown-up, looked at the toy soldier carefully and smiled.
"讓我看看。"那個(gè)男孩，也就是現(xiàn)在的這個(gè)成年小伙，仔細(xì)看了看玩具士兵，笑了。
