respect：回眸一笑，瞧得起你

　　Literally（從字面上看），respect是look back，“回眸一望”引申成“尊敬”，在我們中國人看來沒有什么道理——我們只會想起“回眸一笑百媚生”等詞句。Leave it alone(別管它了)。

　　更有意義的是：理解re-及-spect-，放翻兩大群詞。

　　re=again/back。

　　Re=again大多數(shù)人比較熟悉。

　　Repeat what you said. 將你說的重復(fù)一下（再說）。

　　Renew the house. 將房子翻新一下（再使變新）。

　　Rehearse for the formal performance. 為正式演出彩排一下（再三排練）。

　　更要注意：re=back。

　　具體來說，re領(lǐng)銜的詞，往往在漢語中說成“回/復(fù)/反”等。

　　對一下答案：

　　回答/回答；回巢

　　恢復(fù)；報復(fù)；恢復(fù)/復(fù)蘇；文藝復(fù)興

　　反叛；反應(yīng)；反應(yīng)；反映；反感（三個“反應(yīng)/反映”，都以re-打頭，給老鞋印象深刻，說明其腦后生有“反”骨，確有其事。但注意：respond to sth與react to sth都是對什么作出反應(yīng)，reflect sth是反映什么，用法與意義均不同）

　　眼鏡，可以說成glasses, 因為是glass（玻璃）做的；眼鏡，還可叫spectacles，因為是用來-spect-（看）的
