I have monthly targets set by head office. Now, customers usually need a lot of help choosing the right product, which is fair enough, but at the same time I've got to make sure that what I do is cost-effective for the company, so I have to watch my time and expenses carefully.

The interesting part of the job is the staff development side - arranging training and organising appraisals. And we're doing more of that because more training time is necessary to keep staff up-to-date with computer applications. It's nice to do this as a change from the routine of advertising, interviewing, drawing up staff contracts, etc.
