SoftBank reported net income of 5trn yen ($46bn) for the year ending March 31st, a record annual profit for a Japanese company. Much of that came from gains in its vision-fund investments, particularly Coupang, a South Korean e-commerce company that went public in March. It reported a deep quarterly loss this week, despite rising sales.
