Man's right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to his fullest mental,
對人類而言，生存的權利就是一種可以無拘無束、隨心所欲地享用身邊一切條件的權利，一種追求生理健康、
spiritual, and physical unfoldment; or, in other words, his right to be rich.
自身智力以及精神的全面發展，換言之，生活的權利就是獲取財富，成為富翁的權利。
In this book, I shall not speak ofriches in a figurative way; to be really rich does not mean to be satisfied or contented with a little.
在本書中，我將會摒棄各種委婉的修飾，直言不諱地談論財富。

The man who owns all he wants for the living of all the life he is capable of living is rich;
一個有能力將自己的理想生活變為現實，并主宰自己生活的人是富有的:
and no man who has not plenty of money can have all he wants.
這樣的境界只會讓一個捉襟見肘的人望洋興嘆。
Life has advanced so far, and become so complex,
目前為止，我們的生活水平一直保持上升、復雜的趨勢，
that even the most ordinary man or woman requires a great amount of wealth in order to live in a manner that evenapproaches completeness.
哪怕是平凡得掉渣兒的普通男女，要想勉強實現自已想要的幸福生活，都需要大量的財富依靠。
Every person naturally wants to become all that they are capable of becoming;
每個人都渴望夢想成真；
this desire to realize innate possibilities is inherent in human nature; we cannot help wanting to be all that we can be.
這種希望可能的美夢變為現實的渴望本來就是人類與生俱來的天性。我們都在孜孜追求自己的夢想。
Success in life is becoming what you want to be; you can become what you want to be only by making use of things,
人生的成功是成為你想成為的人；只有利用好一切，才能成為你想成為的人，
and you can have the free use of things only as you become rich enough to buy them.
只有當你變得足夠富有時，才能不費吹灰之力的得到一切。
To understand the science of getting rich is therefore the most essential of all knowledge.
因此，理解致富的秘訣是所有知識中最重要的。
There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich.
想致富，無可厚非。
The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life; and that desire is praise worthy.
渴望成為富翁其實就是想擁有一種更加富足、更加充實、更加美滿的生活，而這樣的愿望本身就是值得稱贊的。
The man who does not desire to live more abundantly is abnormal,
一個不想擁有足夠的金錢，讓自己過上充裕的生活，
and so the man who does not desire to have money enough to buy all he wants is abnormal.
從而能夠獲得所有自已想要的物品的人，我想，一定異于常人。
There are three motives for which we live; we live for the body, we live for the mind, we live for the soul.
我們生活無非為了實現三個目標：肉體的享受：愉悅心靈：陶冶靈魂或獲取精神上的滿足感。
No one of these is better or holier than the other; all are alike desirable,
從其根本上而言，這三種生活目的是相似的，也是完全平等的，無謂說哪一種更好，更高尚，
and no one of the three -- body, mind, or soul -- can live fully if either of the others is cut short of full life and expression.
少了其中任何一種一肉體的享受，或愉悅心靈，或精神上的滿足一生活就會變得不完整，同時也會因此而變得黯淡無光。
It is not right or noble to live only for the soul and deny mind or body;
如果刻意抬高陶冶靈魂，而排斥肉體的享受或心靈的愉悅，并不會變得高尚
and it is wrong to live for the intellect and deny body or soul.
為愉悅心靈而否定肉體和靈魂也是錯誤的。
We are all acquainted with the loathsome consequences of living for the body and denying both mind and soul;
我們都很清楚，沉迷于肉體享受而忘卻愉悅心靈和陶冶靈魂的生活，勢必只會給我們帶來無窮的麻煩和煩惱，
and we see that real life means the complete expression of all that man can give forth through body, mind, and soul.
因為真正的幸福生活只能是肉體享受、心靈愉悅以及精神滿足這三者的三位一體。
Whatever he can say, no man can be really happy or satisfied unless his body is living fully in every function,
無論怎樣，只有當人身體的各個部位及器官都具備完善的功能，
and unless the same is true of his mind and his soul.
心情保持愉快，且精神上獲得滿足的時候，才能真正獲得幸福，
Wherever there is unexpressed possibility, or function not performed,there is unsatisfied desire.
只要他有尚未表達的心意，或是還有尚未實現的愿望，他就不會感到滿足，也就一定會有渴望。
Desire is possibility seeking expression, or function seeking performance.
事實上，渴望就是幫助我們表達心意的媒介，通向愿望的橋梁。
Man cannot live fully in body without good food, comfortable clothing, and warm shelter; and without freedom from excessive toil.
假如沒有色香味美的食物飽腹，舒適合體的衣衫遮體，溫馨整潔的家為我們擋風遮雨，身體的愿望就無法得到滿足:過度勞累讓你失去自由
Rest and recreation are also necessary to his physical life.
適當的休息和娛樂也是讓身體獲得滿足的必要條件。
He cannot live fully in mind without books and time to study them,
如果沒有書籍和時間來研究它們，
without opportunity for travel and observation, or without intellectual companionship.
沒有旅行和觀察的機會，沒有知識的陪伴，我們的心靈就不可能獲得充盈。
