“Come on!” he muttered, staring about. “Where are you? Dad, come on —”
“快點！”他小聲說，盯向四周，“你在哪兒？爸爸，快出來吧！”
But no one came. Harry raised his head to look at the circle of Dementors across the lake.
但是并沒有人出現(xiàn)，哈利抬起頭看了看湖邊一群群的得蒙特，
One of them was lowering its hood. It was time for the rescuer to appear — but no one was coming to help this time —
其中的一個正在低下頭，是救護者到來的時候了——但是這一次并沒有人來幫忙——
And then it hit him — he understood. He hadn't seen his father he had seen himself —
突然他想通了——他明白了，他并沒有見到他父親——他看見的是他自己——”
Harry flung himself out from behind the bush and pulled out his wand.
哈利從灌木后面蕩了出來，拿出了他的手杖。
“EXPECTO PATRONUM! ” he yelled.
“伊斯彼特華朗！”他喊到。
And out of the end of his wand burst, not a shapeless cloud of mist, but a blinding, dazzling, silver animal.
在他的手杖的頂端爆發(fā)出的不再是一片無形的云霧，而是一只閃著令人眩目的強光白色的動物，
He screwed up his eyes, trying to see what it was. It looked like a horse.
他硬睜開眼睛，想要看清楚那是什么。它看起來像一只馬。
It was galloping silently away from him, across the black surface of the lake.
它正在靜靜地從他這一邊跑開，穿過了黑一色的湖面。
He saw it lower its head and charge at the swarming Dementors….
他看見它低下頭向成群的得蒙特進攻……
Now it was galloping around and around the black shapes on the ground,
現(xiàn)在它正在圍著地上的黑影一圈一圈地轉(zhuǎn)著，
and the Dementors were falling back, scattering, retreating into the darkness…. They were gone.
然后得蒙特向后退去，向四周散去。退入到黑暗之中……他們走了。
The Patronus turned. It was cantering back toward Harry across the still surface of the water.
吧卓泥斯轉(zhuǎn)過身，穿過平靜的湖面緩緩的跑回到哈利身邊。
It wasn't a horse. It wasn't a unicorn, either. It was a stag.
它一不是一只馬，也不是一只獨角獸。它是一個牡鹿。
