Harry stepped outside again and edged around the cabin. He could hear yelping in the distance.
哈利又走到外面，沿著木屋的邊緣走著。他可以聽見遠處的嘶叫聲。
That meant the Dementors were closing in on Sirius….
這意味著得蒙特移近西里斯了……
He and Hermione would be running to him any moment….
他和荷米恩馬上就會朝他跑去……
Harry stared out toward the lake, his heart doing a kind of drumroll in his chest….
哈利緊緊地盯向湖邊，他的心像是在敲鼓似的，
Whoever had sent that Patronus would be appearing at any moment….
吧卓泥斯也隨時就要出現了。
For a fraction of a second he stood, irresolute, in front of Hagrid's door. You must not be seen.
在哈格力家的門前，他猶豫不決地站了一會兒。你千萬不能被別人看見。
But he didn't want to be seen. He wanted to do the seeing…. He had to know…
但是盡管他不能被看見，他又想要去看……他想知道……
And there were the Dementors. They were emerging out of the darkness from every direction,
“得蒙特們出現了，他們在黑暗中從四面八方涌了過來，
gliding around the edges of the lake…. They were moving away from where Harry stood, to the opposite bank….
都向湖邊飄去……他們從哈利站著的地方經過，涌向對岸……
He wouldn't have to get near them….
他不能再移近他們了……
Harry began to run. He had no thought in his head except his father… If it was him…
哈利開始奔跑，除了他父親之外，他的腦子里沒有其它的東西了……如果那是他……
if it really was him… he had to know, had to find out….
如果那真的是他……他必須知道，必須查明這一切。
The lake was coming nearer and nearer, but there was no sign of anybody.
離湖越來越近了，這里根本看不到有人的跡象。
On the opposite bank, he could see tiny glimmers of silver — his own attempts at a Patronus —
他可以看見對岸有一些微小的銀白色的亮線，他全神貫注地期待著吧卓泥斯的出現——
There was a bush at the very edge of the water.
在水邊有一簇灌木叢，
Harry threw himself behind it, peering desperately through the leaves.
哈利躲在后面，急切地透過樹葉窺視著……
On the opposite bank, the glimmers of silver were suddenly extinguished.
在對面的岸上，那束銀白色的閃光突然熄滅了，
A terrified excitement shot through him — any moment now —
一種恐懼而又興奮的感覺傳遍了他的全身——馬上就會來了……
