'This way,' said Harry, setting off, bent-backed, after Crookshanks.

'Where does this tunnel come out?' Hermione asked breathlessly from behind him.

'I don't know … it's marked on the Marauder's Map, but Fred and George said no one's ever got into it. It goes off the edge of the map, but it looked like it ends up in Hogsmeade …'
“不知道……活點地圖上標出了這條通道，不過弗雷德和喬治說，從來沒有人走過。這條路在地圖邊上消失了，但是看上去它的盡頭是在霍格莫德村……”
They moved as fast as they could, bent almost double; ahead of them, Crookshanks's tail bobbed in and out of view.
他們盡快前進，腰彎得幾乎不能再彎了；克魯克山在他們前方，尾巴上下跳動，時隱時現。
On and on went the passage; it felt at least as long as the one to Honeydukes.
這條通道無窮無盡；感覺上至少和到蜂蜜公爵的那條一般長。
All Harry could think of was Ron, and what the enormous dog might be doing to him … he was drawing breath in sharp, painful gasps, running at a crouch …

And then the tunnel began to rise; moments later, it twisted, and Crookshanks had gone.

Instead, Harry could see a patch of dim light through a small opening.
但是，通過一處小開口，哈利可以看見一縷模糊的光線了。
He and Hermione paused, gasping for breath, edging forwards.

Both raised their wands to see what lay beyond. It was a room, a very disordered, dusty room.
兩人都舉起魔杖照路，看前面有什么。那是一間房子，一間亂七八糟、滿是灰塵的房子。
Paper was peeling from the walls; there were stains all over the floor; every piece of furniture was broken, as though somebody had smashed it. The windows were all boarded-up.
壁紙已經從墻上脫落；地板上到處都是污漬；一件件家具都破損了，似乎是人打壞的。窗子都用木板釘住了。
Harry glanced at Hermione, who looked very frightened, but nodded.
哈利瞥了赫敏一眼，她顯得疲憊不堪，但她點點頭。
Harry pulled himself out of the hole, staring around. The room was deserted, but a door to their right stood open, leading to a shadowy hallway.
哈利使勁鉆出洞穴，向四面張望。房間里沒有人，但右邊一扇門開著，通往一條幽暗的過道。
