'I'll let yeh out the back way,' said Hagrid.

They followed him to the door into his back garden. Harry felt strangely unreal,

and even more so when he saw Buckbeak a few yards away, tethered to a tree behind Hagrid's pumpkin patch.
當他看到幾碼開外的巴克比克時，這種感覺就更加濃厚了。
Buckbeak seemed to know something was happening.
巴克比克拴在海格的南瓜地里一棵樹后面。
He turned his sharp head from side to side, and pawed the ground nervously.
巴克比克好像知道有什么事情要發生了，它把腦袋轉來轉去，還不安地用爪子抓地。
'It's OK, Beaky,' said Hagrid softly. 'It's OK ...' He turned to Harry, Ron and Hermione. 'Go on,' he said. 'Get goin'.'
“沒事，比克，”海格溫柔地說，“沒事……”他轉向哈利、羅恩和赫敏。“走吧，”他說，“快走。”
But they didn't move.
但是他們不動。
'Hagrid, we can't —'
“海格，我們不能——”
'We'll tell them what really happened —'
“我們要告訴他們實際情況。”
'They can't kill him —'
“他們不能殺它！”
'Go!' said Hagrid fiercely. 'It's bad enough without you lot in trouble an' all!'
“走！”海格狂怒地說，“你們遇到麻煩的話，事情就更糟了！”
They had no choice. As Hermione threw the Cloak over Harry and Ron, they heard voices at the front of the cabin.
他們別無選擇。赫敏把隱形衣罩在哈利和羅恩頭上，這時，他們聽到小屋門外有了人聲。
Hagrid looked at the place where they had just vanished from sight.
海格看著他們剛剛隱沒的地方。
'Go quick,' he said hoarsely. 'Don' listen ...' And he strode back into his cabin as someone knocked at the front door.
“快走，”他啞著嗓子說，“別聽……”他慢慢走回小屋，已經有人在敲他的門了。
Slowly, in a kind of horrified trance, Harry, Ron and Hermione set off silently around Hagrid's house.
在一陣恐怖的恍惚之中，哈利、羅恩和赫敏開始靜靜地繞著海格的小屋慢慢走著。
As they reached the other side, the front door closed with a sharp snap.
他們走到小屋那一邊時，前門砰的一響關上了。
'Please, let's hurry,' Hermione whispered. 'I can't stand it, I can't bear it ...'
“勞駕，我們快走吧，”赫敏說，“我受不了，我忍受不了……”
