Four years ago McEntire endured a painful and unwanted divorce from her husband of 26 years, Narvel Blackstock, her longtime manager and father of her son Shelby, now 29.

More than 40 years since the Oklahoma-born singer launched a musical career that would go on to feature such signature hits as "Fancy" and "Somebody Should Leave," McEntire is releasing her 29th studio album, Stronger Than the Truth, on April 5.
